Who are the manufacturers of submersible pump with DC motor in India? I have a borewell in my farm. I use a 2HP AC 3Phase submersible pump which is adequate for pumping water from depth of 400' . I am now planning to install a solar power generation plant . I have been advised to replace my borewell pump with a DC motor pump to reduce the starting load on the power system. The power generation plant will be a hybrid i.e. wind + solar generation. The manufacturers tell me that the plant will charge batteries and the output will be DC.

can I make an indoor manmade river with a submersible pump? Submersible pump kicks on for one second only and then back off for 10-20 seconds,changed pressure tank,switch? I've changed the pressure tank(used but still good) and installed a new pressure switch,nothing seems to change it. Could this be the submersible pump itself? If it was shot I would think it wouldn't pump at all? pressure switch has to nuts to adjust for "cut in" pressure and "cut out" pressure. Doesn't seem to change anything no matter where I set them.

Can anyone tell me why a submersible pump has a low voltage charge after the power is turned off? I have a submersible pump drawing water from the lake. When I turn off the power to the pump, there is still a low voltage charge (12 volts or so) when you touch the pump. I have eliminated the sources for a ground fault. I'm looking for a long term solutions for keeping bugs out of standing water in submersible sump pump? I had some water coming into my basement a few years back, so I had a sump pump installed. It is a submersible pump, so there is always a bit of standing water that stays in the bottom of the crock (18" across, 18" deep). Over time I get quite a bit of larvae and what appear to be medium-size black flies that build up in the room where the pump is located. I can go through the room every few months with a can of "flying insect" pesticide spray, which seems to help, but would like to implement a more comprehensive solution, if possible. I talked to some local hardware store employees, who only suggested covering the hole of the crock with screening to keep the bugs in the crock. Is there no way to treat the standing water with something that would prevent the larvae from forming? Thanks!
