Flow Jet Pump

Anyone know a good website to get detailed information or replacing the entire deep well pump system?

I 've got to replace the 3 wire 4 inch pump, maybe piping, the pressure tank and all related components, am I forced to hire a pro? cant i pull the pump out with my truck or anything?

  1. This is pretty much a job for a pro. I've tried doing this myself with a tall ladder and a helper, I ended up breaking his nose in the process (true story). Really, the pump installers boom and winch is what makes this job doable. Do you know for fact it's not the control box, pressure switch, or something else? You can replace those things yourself, but the pump installer will probably have them with him, and want to sell you his own parts anyway. These guys are pretty well attuned to working on an emergency basis, and they're pretty fast. It really doesn't take them that long, as long as they can get to the top of the well and access things without having to remove your pumphouse, etc. first.
  2. I have pulled out my own pumps and such but my advise to you is call the pros. One wrong move and you drop the pump and pipe down the well and you will have to drill a new well.(that gets expensive) I would rather pay the 1500 or 1600.00 and be done with it.
  3. Don't know of any web sites. My advice would be to hire a well company to do the job.If the well is 500 hundred ft. like mine,it's tough trying to pull that much pipe. They've got the rig to do it.I just got a new well installed. The last question I ask them was how much to pull the pump and install a new one.Answer:800 to 1000 dollars.
  4. I can do it for you if I can break away from Massachusetts...LOL. All for the simple cost of a 20 question game. What do you think??
